ITEM C-MS-3: Red Painted Colima Dog From Western Mexico
A red painted Colima dog from Western Mexico. The pottery effigy stands on four pointed legs with a fat belly, cream colored head, and covered in strong ancient mineral deposits. This image is in excellent, solid condition with only minor matching repair to losses at the spout and appears intact. The underside belly retains vintage pencil writing in cursive of 'Leosla'(?), or maybe 'Elcosta', which would be 'the coast' and '$50'.
SIZE: 12-1/2 inches long; 7 inches tall; 5-3/4 inches wide.
